Flourish Education Services

Our Mission

During her 25+ years in education Julie has seen what happens when students’ needs go unmet.

The academic and social-emotional problems that occur from this situation could have been greatly reduced, if not avoided, by adopting strategies that met those needs. Additionally, she has heard difficult stories where children have struggled, and where the school system has been unresponsive or not working as a team to support the child. She has helped children regain confidence, develop strong student skills, and flourish. She has helped families who are “at the end of their rope” and desperate to help their child. She has seen children feel like they have nothing to offer the world because by sixth or seventh grade they are not able to keep up academically with their peers and/or are constantly getting in trouble.

Julie has collected information from a variety of sources (occupational therapy, trauma informed teaching, special education, social-emotional learning, etc.) that she utilizes in determining a path forward for children and their families. Unfortunately, as a public school teacher Julie was restricted, and she could not make some of the recommendations to parents that she felt would help their child. This is why she started Flourish Education Services.
