My experience as a teacher and administrator in K-8 public (inner-city and suburban), private (college prep, Montessori, and co-op), and homeschooling has given me a breadth of knowledge to draw upon when supporting children as they navigate their education. 

In my most recent experience as an educational coordinator at a hybrid online/site-based charter school, I guided students and their families in homeschooling and online learning.  My goal is always to develop a positive environment to facilitate learning, growth, and confidence.

Beyond my professional career, I have first-hand experience as a parent of a special-needs child who needed to be homeschooled for two years in addition to implementing variety of strategies and advocacy to receive appropriate and effective support during her K-12 school years. As a mother of two and coming from a large extended family, I have a personal perspective in the struggles and joys of parenting.
